ピエニマットとして、ご希望いただくことが多かったびゅーんギツネ。
キャンバスの余白から生まれる作品で、たくさん作ることができませんでした。

買いやすい価格で、気兼ねなく、さらに広い範囲で使えるラグを作りたい。
そんな想いから、Kukka Tanssiの新しいラインが始まりました。
丹後で日本の大切な絨毯を作り続けていらっしゃる老舗ラグ工場の伝統的な技術を借りることで、手仕事の表情はそのままに、長く愛用できる耐久性を備えた一品が仕上がりました。　

第一弾として、『びゅーんギツネ』が物語の中から飛び出してきました。
棚の上でも机の上でも車の座席に連れて行っても使いやすい、軽やかなサイズ感です。

日本の軟水で染められた柔らかいウールを100%使用しており、工業用ミシンで一つ一つ美しく縫われた縁取りは、まさに日本の技術の結晶です。
ブルーグレーの空を軽やかに飛んでいるキツネのように、このラグをこれまでよりさらに自由にお楽しみいただけたらと思います。

※一枚一枚仕上げに手作業でハサミのカットを入れております。キツネの表情や体のラインには個体差が生まれます。　
毛糸ラグの性質上遊び毛が発生いたしますが、毛糸を引っ張らずにハサミでお切りください。

A New Chapter for Kukka Tanssi
”The "Breezy Fox”

The "Breezy Fox" has long been a favorite in our Pieni (small) mat collection. Previously, these were created only from the remnants of larger canvases, making them very rare and difficult to produce in large quantities.

I wanted to create a rug that is more accessible, easy to use, and durable enough for everyday life while maintaining the artistic soul of Kukka Tanssi. This desire led to our new production line.

By collaborating with a historic rug factory in Tango, Japan—a region renowned for its traditional textile craftsmanship—we have created a piece that combines the expressive feel of hand-tufting with exceptional durability.

The First Edition: The "Byu-un" Fox
Our playful fox has jumped straight out of a storybook! Its light and versatile size makes it perfect for a shelf, a desk, or even as a cozy companion on a car seat.

Material: 100% Wool (Dyed using Japan's soft natural water for a beautiful, soft finish)

Size: Approx. 50 × 22 cm (19.7 × 8.7 inches)

Craftsmanship: The edges are meticulously finished one by one using industrial sewing machines—a true testament to Japanese technical excellence.

Just like the fox gliding through the blue-gray sky, we hope this rug brings a sense of freedom and joy to your space.

Individual Character: Each rug is hand-finished with shears. Please enjoy the slight variations in the fox’s expression and body lines as a mark of its unique, handcrafted nature.

Care: Due to the nature of wool rugs, some shedding ("play hair") may occur. Please do not pull the yarn; simply trim any loose fibers with scissors.
